65 years of continuous development have made TUPY what it is today, a renowned company in the foundry sector.

1938 – TUPY founded by A. Schmidt, a descendent of German immigrants

1963 – second foundry unit erected in Joinville

1972 – foundation of the TUPY University in Joinville

1975 – the first block is cast for VW

1991 – today's shareholders took over TUPY from the Schmidt family

1995 – takeover of the parts range of the Daimler foundry (Sofunge)

1998 – takeover of the foundry, COFAP, in Maua/Sao Paulo

1998 - TUPY Europe moves from Hamburg to Munich

2003 – management restructuring and new focusing of the whole company, to meet the growing demands of the market.
